ABOUT Circle NO Writing.jpg

1

Our many partners (see below) will visit sites of heritage interest across the vast spaces of Northumbria, which in the past has stretched from Scotland

to Sheffield. At each site the group will see drone footage of the site,

and meet with an expert on geology, historic buildings, natural

heritage, stories. Later that day or the next they will

work with an artist (visual, musician, poet,

animator, theatre…) and create a response to the

heritage they have just visited. That work will

be uploaded to the Dynamic Northumbria

website. Here participants from across

Northumbria will be able to see each

others work. We will help you

photograph or record your work if

needed.

2

Over several months the creative responses will continue in

each partner organisation, going in whatever direction

individuals choose. We will connect you with

other people who appear to have similar

interests, either inthe heritage, or

the art form, or justbecause

we think your work connects in

some way.This will all be

uploaded to the site as

the months go by.

3

When all seventeen sites have

been visited, and some people

have been following their creative

ideas for several months, we will collect

all the material from the website, and turn it all into a film.

4

We will tour the film to venues at or very

close to the seventeen heritage sites from

which the many, many ideas arose.
